love is love... no matter what

society always seems to think that love can only be between a man and women, whether they say it is because it is written in scripture or just what they think is "right". Truthfully though, love can be shared through any combination of people, and how they chose to see another person is their view on sheer beauty, it should not be blurred by the opinions of anyone else. Love is an unconditional feeling shared between two people, and no this does not have to always mean just between a man and a women, this could be between two men, or two women also. love itself is a beautiful thing, and it should be cherished no matter what type.

rags vs. riches

What does this have to do with beauty?, you may ask... well, many times, in the world that person with the most money is normally viewed as the more beautiful person. although many times that isn't the case, society has built itself around believing that we all need money to survive, which we all know for the most part is not true. There are many people out there who have barely any money, but are the most beautiful people you could ever meet, not always physically but socially, many times they are more accepting of people then the people who are rolling in the money. what has the world come to? that people below the poverty line are always the ones who end up being forgotten about? there are never any articles in magazines about those people, no tabloids, they are rarely talked about...and as Americans we tend to rely on the media for information on things that we should know about. we all need to realize that money does not mean beauty.

Body art in our society

In many cultures it is a custom to pierce your ears, nose, and many other parts of your body. Some cultures it is even acceptable to stretch your ears to large sizes. Tattoos also seem to be a ritual of custom to get at a certain age for certain tribes. Though, in America it seems that, even though now they are becoming a little more socially acceptable, many times people think that they are unacceptable. Many businesses strictly say that you are not allowed to have and showing body art at all, but why in America is it like this and almost no where else in the world? It seems that almost every culture has these things as a right of passage accept for America, I truly believe that people should open their eyes and see that these things are beautiful and a way of complete self expression.
