Where do you come from?
Racism is still an issue, even if there were laws made against it in the 1960's...but why? you would think that society has changed its morals over time but it really hasn't changed all that much. why does skin color matter that much? people tend to see nothing else and see past nothing else than the color of a persons skin, although that person could be the greatest person on the planet. I think that everyone, whether they are African American, white, Asian, Hispanic, native American, or any other culture deserves a fair chance. You never know who you could meet, or who you could become very close with if the judgements that passed through your mind were stopped, even if just for a while...who knows they may go away forever.

The Man in the Mirror
Look around, girls are following an image that they have to be super skinny, but at the same time have big boobs and a big butt...why? Looking through magazines i constantly see women, and men that are skinny, have the perfect muscle tone, and are really tan...just think about TV, the people who are famous right now are the cast of jersey shore, this show alone alters the minds of teens and children who watch it by making them believe that looking that way is the right way to look. Guy are constantly looking up to all the men who have the classic "6 pack" abs and the large biceps...although we tend to see girls looking at the media more for ways to some how "improve" the way they look. I think that people will see others how they want to see them but society needs to re instill confidence in the self image of teens and young adults, because everyone is made the way they are for a reason and they are all beautiful.

Jump in the Car and Drive
It seem these days that people need the newest, shiniest, or most expensive car. even though 90% of the time older cars are more reliable. There is always the debate of which brand or type of car, truck, etc. is better, which in all honesty people go more on the looks of the car than anything. If a car has a few dents it isnt all the way painted it is obviously a piece of crap...even if it actually runs better than some of the newest cars out there. As for Trucks, this is a never ending debate it seems between one truck owner to another, its always dodge vs. ford, ford vs. chevy, dodge vs. chevy and so on...when in all reality I think that if a person is going to drive a truck it should rely on the mechanics, but many times it is the beauty of the truck and the appearance of the body that causes someone to love the truck.

Work that up do
hair, such a broad topic, it seems though that as the years pass the way that a persons hair is done has a lot to do with what type of person they are and what group of people they are classified in. Many times it seems that there is always that "in" or "hip" hair style that almost everyone seems to simultaneously get. Currently guys are rocking the long hair, or in the words of many "the Justin beiber hair cut", and girls are normally seen with large side bangs and highlighted hair, but take a look at the past these fads aren't always current, there is always one era before us that had it. In America though, we tend to look at people who go against this social norm as strange, and we tend to assume things when their hair isn't cut the same as everyone Else's. I think that no matter what you do with your hair, it is part of your own personal beauty and how everyone else sees it shouldn't matter.

walking to the beat of your own tune
Music, the epitome of expression in all forms. In today's society there are all different types of music, and beats that fill your mind with loops and twirls of sweet melody. Whether you listen to reggae, hip hop, rap, country, alternative, punk, or the so called "oldies" all music has a message. That message could be the story of a persons life, a love story, or maybe even a story about a crazy party. The beautiful thing about music is that every person can relate to some aspect of it. Many people grow up with biases on what music is "good" and what music isn't, while in reality there is nothing that can prove why those people think those things other than opinion. Take some time to stop and listen to the harmony and stories in every kind of music out there. you never know what you may end up liking

love is love... no matter what
society always seems to think that love can only be between a man and women, whether they say it is because it is written in scripture or just what they think is "right". Truthfully though, love can be shared through any combination of people, and how they chose to see another person is their view on sheer beauty, it should not be blurred by the opinions of anyone else. Love is an unconditional feeling shared between two people, and no this does not have to always mean just between a man and a women, this could be between two men, or two women also. love itself is a beautiful thing, and it should be cherished no matter what type.

rags vs. riches
What does this have to do with beauty?, you may ask... well, many times, in the world that person with the most money is normally viewed as the more beautiful person. although many times that isn't the case, society has built itself around believing that we all need money to survive, which we all know for the most part is not true. There are many people out there who have barely any money, but are the most beautiful people you could ever meet, not always physically but socially, many times they are more accepting of people then the people who are rolling in the money. what has the world come to? that people below the poverty line are always the ones who end up being forgotten about? there are never any articles in magazines about those people, no tabloids, they are rarely talked about...and as Americans we tend to rely on the media for information on things that we should know about. we all need to realize that money does not mean beauty.
